Puerto Arturo, Támesis

Finca Puerto Arturo is a five-hectare coffee farm located in the mountains of Támesis, Antioquia, at approximately 1,900 meters above sea level. At this elevation, cooler temperatures allow the coffee cherries to mature more slowly, helping them develop greater sweetness and complexity.

The coffee is grown beneath native shade trees and hand-picked only when the cherries reach full ripeness. After harvesting, it undergoes a controlled anaerobic honey process, followed by slow drying for 12 to 15 days. This careful process preserves the fruit’s natural sugars and helps create flavors of red berries, caramel, and dark chocolate, with a smooth body and balanced acidity.

Puerto Arturo is also home to producer Elkin Arcila, who combines his experience in fermentation and water quality with traditional farming practices to produce distinctive specialty coffees.
